The shield is attached to the frame by riveted leather straps. The scope has its original leather lens cover attached to the frame and sun shield which clips to the frame when not in use and attaches to the viewing lens by bayonet type catch when in use. It has an adjustable graduated eyepiece with Bakelite eye cup. The scope itself measures 17” overall without handle and is 29” overall with its screw off wood handle attached.
